About this course
Escape Studios and Trafford College have teamed up to offer a two-day game art workshop. The workshop is open to current BTEC and A level students, and those progressing to university this year.
This workshop lets you get an introduction to the art of 3D for games as well as explore what it’s like to work as a professional game artist.
Working with tools such as Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop, and Unreal Engine you will get a hands-on introduction to 3D game art techniques such as:
- Creating and editing 3D models
- Texturing maps
- and of course testing by playing.
The project you’ll be working on starts directly in the game engine where you learn how to manipulate objects and materials, how to interact and destruct objects. You will then export the game model in Maya and edit in 3D, change the textures in Photoshop and bring it back into the game's engine to test and refine
